  • Click on the  Ad Button and follow the given instructions to submit your ad
  • Once the ad review is completed your ad will be posted on our live platform
  • Overall it will take less than 1 office hour to get your ad posted

How to delete my ad?

  • Logging in to your personal account on Noyel.lk
  • Visit "My ads" page
  • Click on the "Delete ad" button
  • Your Ad will be deleted in seconds

How to edit my ad? 

  • Logging in to your personal account on Noyel.lk  
  • Visit "My ads" page
  • Click on the "Edit ad" button
  • Your Ad will be edited in seconds

How to set a new password?

There are few ways that you can change you can get a new password:

  • First log in to your personal account on Noyel.lk, visit the "Settings" page enter a new password

Or

  • Visit the log-in page and click on the "Forgot your password?" link and type a new password

Or

  • Visit one of your ads on the Ad page, and click on "Edit ad" or "Delete ad", and then click on the "Forgot your password?" link and type a new password

Or

  • If you have created an Freecycle.lk account via Facebook, you  can directly log in to your  Freecycle.lk account via Facebook without a password

How long do ads be posted on Freecycle.lk?

  • Your Ads appear for two months (60 days) automatically
  • One  can delete them before the appointed time period if they  require

Why can’t I find the ad posted by me?

Keep a track on your own ads by daily logging in to your personal Freecycle.lk account and visiting “My ads" page. Following can be reasons why your ad is not posted on the Freecycle.lk

  • Your ad may be still under review, this can be checked under “Ads under review” on My Ads page
  • Your ad may have violated Freecycle.lk posting rules –Prior publishing if your ad needs to be edited your ad will be listed on My Ads page, under “Ads that need editing”
  • You may have used up all your free posting ad allowance
  • If you haven’t  been contacted for  24 hours by us, check for the accuracy of the contact details you have given us, if they are correct try reposting, if again unsuccessful contact us

Reasons to reject my ads?

If your ad violates our posting rules it will be rejected. We will notify you through the ad rejection mail the changes you should make prior reposting your ad. Also note that all of the ads are manually reviewed by us.

What are the rules for posting on Freecycle.lk ?

Our policies do not allow ads that contain:

  • Illegal items or services in Sri Lanka
  • Items or services that is not located in Sri Lanka
  • Invalid contact details :phone numbers or email addresses

  • Title or description that is not related to the advertised item or service
  • Pictures that do not match or clearly show the advertised item or service

  • Exact same content as another ad, re-published within 7 days.
  • Multiple items in the same ad, unless it is a package deal

How do I sign up for a user account? 

  • Signing up a user account on Freecycle.lk is quick, easy and completely free!
  • First visit the Sign up page and follow the  given instructions
  • You can sign up with an email address or through your Facebook account
  • Once you have signed up, a link will be sent to your email with instructions on how to verify your email address.

How do I log in and log out of my account?

  • To log in to your account, simply visit the Log in page and enter your email and Freecycle.lk password.
  • If you have created an account via Facebook, click on "Continue with Facebook" and follow the instructions.
  • To log out of your account, simply click the "Log out" option.

How do I change my account details?

  • Visit  your account's "Settings" page  to change the details on your account

What is my posting allowance? 

We have introduced a monthly Posting Allowance plan for all our valued members. Which allows all our members to post few ads for free in under most of the categories on Freecycle.lk, except categories that require payment of a listing fee. Once you have used up your posting allowance for the month, you can either set up a Membership in order to post more ads, or wait until the first day of the next month when your allowance gets renewed.

What is Buy Now?

  • Buy Now is the easiest and safest method to buy items on Freecycle.lk
  • Simply look for an ad with the Buy Now option, click on "Buy Now" and fill out the form. We will then contact you to arrange delivery of the item

What is Top Ads option (Promote Your Ad Page)?

This option is given to promote and highlight your ad among the competitors. This option is available for any seller as a paid service.

How to work out the Top Ad option on Freecycle.lk

  • Visit the Promote your ad page 
  • Next click the "Promote ad" option on your ad
  • Then click the "Learn More" option given under the Top Ad option

What are the reasons for your personal ad to be not listed under Top Ads?

After you select the Top Ad option for your own ad, if it is not visible on the Top Ad page right away. Most probably it might be due to availability of less numbers of ad options spots than the requested number of Top Ads. During such possibility we at Freecycle.lk try to give equal opportunity for all ads on being displayed.

How to request the Top Ad option

  • First visit the category and location that you posted the ad
  • Next select any relevant filters
  • Then click through to the next few pages, or refresh your page to browse different Top Ads

What is meant by “Daily Bump Up for 7 days” option?

This is a type of a promotion which moves a respective ad to the top of the basic ad listings once a week (7 days). It has been identified that a Daily Bump Up promotion attracts 5 times or more viewers as usual. During this promotion the Ad will move to the top position on the listing page once, during the day and moves down the listing page as usual until the next bump up. This cycle is repeated for a week.

The Buy Now option is available for any Item posted by a member in a certain categoryand locations and also above a minimum listing price. Such Items can be purchased through the "Buy Now" option at Freecycle.lk.
Once you post an Ad regarding your item, and if it qualifies to be listed under Buy Now option,your ad will be automatically updated to display the "Buy Now" option. Once the Freecycle.lk gets alerted by a serious buyer we take care of overall doorstep delivery operation.
We at Freecycle.lk guarantee 100% to sell your item or return it safely to you. We take a service charge if only your item selling is successful, successful sales - until then, the service is free if not product listing is free.
The service charge for successful sales depends on the item that you have sold, and is a single charge that covers both the transaction and delivery.

How do I buy a voucher?

To purchase a voucher,

  • Click the "Promote this ad" button on the ad
  • Follow the instruction on "How to buy voucher" option

How to use the vouchers?

  • Top Ad or Bump Up can be bought by using our vouchers if the balance remaining covers the price of the promotion.
  • If your balance is too low to buy a Top Ad or Bump Up, please contact us to transfer the remaining balance and top it up, or use another voucher that has enough balance remaining.
  • Also note that the vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
